Mr. Corless has more than twelve years of experience in strategy, communications, media, public relations, and government interface. Mr. Corless’ experience includes advising c-suite executives, elected officials and high profile business leaders on multi-million dollar operations and managing a multitude of successful corporate and political campaigns.
In recent years, he has developed a corporate practice advising a major southern California health system, the largest toll road network in California, one of the largest Fortune 500 distributors and marketers of consumer goods, a national real estate investment trust agency, and international consumer package goods (CPG) companies. Prior, Mr. Corless served as Chief of Staff for a California State Legislator and Chief Deputy for an Orange County, CA Supervisor. During his public service, he provided strategic counsel on multi-billion dollar government budgets including transportation, public safety and infrastructure policy in America’s fifth largest county government and third largest state government.
In 2014, Mr. Corless directed the communications and media strategy that elected Orange County Supervisor Lisa Bartlett, the first Japanese American in history to serve on the Board of Supervisors. In 2013, he advised former Assistant U.S. Attorney Kevin James during the Los Angeles mayoral election and confirmation hearings that led to his appointment by Mayor Eric Garcetti as President of the Board of Public Works for the City of Los Angeles. Also, he served as an advisor during Mayor Garcetti’s campaign. In 2012, Mr. Corless advised California Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez in her successful bid as the first woman elected to represent southwest Riverside in the State Legislature. In 2010, he served as Political Director for former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina in her nationally targeted bid for the United States Senate.
Jeff has worked internationally providing strategic advice to Members of Parliament (MPs) and the Prime Minister’s cabinet of the United Kingdom during their unprecedented policy shift from appointing Police and Crime Commissioners to directly electing them as a part of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act of 2011. Police and Crime Commissioners in the U.K. are now similar to County Sheriffs in the U.S.
Jeff holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the George L. Argyros School of Business and Economics at Chapman University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in management and minor in economics from the Conrad N. Hilton College of Business at Loyola Marymount University. A southern California native, Jeff resides in Orange County with his wife Victoria, daughter Katherine, and son James. He enjoys traveling with his family.
